Print Battle with Beccles camera club

The club held it's annual battle with their very good friends the Beccles camera club on Thursday 27th March. Because the number of people taking slides is so small, for the first time it was an all print battle. Beccles were the hosts, but Bungay just maintained their winning streak. There were 10 colour prints and 10 black and white prints from each club. The results were, black and white, Bungay 78 points Beccles 75 points. Colour prints Bungay 80.5 and Beccles 75.5, making a final score Bungay 158.5 Beccles 150.5. Both clubs expressed their thanks to the judge for the evening David Saunders for his excellent and constructive comments.

Projected image

From the end of 2007, all slide competitons will be replaced by projected images. Projected images are digital images shown through the club's overhead projector. Slides can be entered, but they will be scanned and shown digitally

Lottery Award

The club is pleased to announce that they have successfully applied for a grant from the Lottery Awards for all Fund. This grant will be used to buy equipment that will benefit the club and the local community

Roger Preston

The club congratulates Roger Preston on becoming an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society

Shirley Berry (club treasurer) in her report said the club was in a healthy financial postion and the subscriptions and meeting fees would be the same for 2008 as they were for 2007 £15 for adults £7-50 for under 16's and 50p meeting fees

An amendment was passed at the A.G.M

" All mention of print sizes be removed from the rules for all Bungay camera club competitions"

This to take immediate effect
